I'm not feeling as emotional as I thought I would, but I guess those days are to come. So many people to say goodbye to and the days are disappearing from us now.
The last year or so at the Academy has produced friendships that I will undoubtably be keeping for years yet.
"We didn't realise we were making memories, we just knew we were having fun."
Going to miss you girlies.
There's a few people that will tug on my heart as we start packing up to move off. It's a shame we can't pack those people in our suitcases and carry them off to Cornwall with us.
And of course the inevitable sadness that we leave family behind too.
Fortunately for our furry friends, they are coming with us!
Onto a new adventure in the West Country, and knowing that it's the right decision is very reassuring when it becomes a matter of 'should we be going'.
It's crazy to think that in a couple of months, I don't know where we'll be working or living by then. I'm just hoping I'll get a job that will make me as happy as the one I have now. Seeing the students on a daily basis makes me realise just how privileged I am to have a job such as this one. It would be a dream to land another job in a similar environment.
As much as I'm going to miss the comfortability of life down here, I'm so ready to move away. Build a life of our own somewhere beautiful. It's a dream come true really.
There's negativity that seems to have loomed over us for a couple of years now and a fresh positive start is all we need.
A home to settle in to, friends to make and a new journey to embark on.
So much is happening, and about to happen.
"A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step."
