#13 Day Snap

Yesterday (13.07.2013) could not have been a more perfect day if it tried.
The Arnott family celebrated the 90th birthday of Janet. My Great-Nanna.
And what a day it was!
The sun was blaring down on us, the kids were running around playing, the adults were sitting down and chatting. There was enough food and dessert to feed an army. And the company was just second to none.

We all met in Swindon, at Rob and Anita's (my dads cousin and her husband).
What a house they live in!
A beautifully looked after garden. Enough space for a gazebo and a few tables, as well as this gorgeous array of flowers and herbs, fruit plants and beauty!
(I've had to collage all the photos as I had over 50 for the day!)

Like I said.. The food! So delicious.
All sorts were brought in from salmon, to samosas, to cheesecake with jelly!

As I'm writing this, and putting all the photos together, I'm trying to make a family tree. It's tough!

So here's photos for now, of the family enjoying the sun and celebrations together.

The children were full of joy. Playing together, dunking their feet in ice. It was certainly no less than fun to watch!
(And of course when they set their - what I want to call hand marshmallow things - on my brother!)

I got to spend the day with three of my most favourite people.

My gorgeous Husband, my wonderful Daddy, and of course, my most precious Nannie!

So in all, it was a day of pure joy and happiness. One not to forget quickly.
Particularly - because we had family from over the seas join us.
My Grandads sister (Audrey), married an African - whom I have never met before!
And my Dads cousin (Audrey's daughter  you see why I need a tree!) was down from Canada with her two children (who really aren't children anymore!)

So happy birthday to an inspirational woman. You have prayed for each and everyone of us over the years, and your support has been incredible.
You welcomed my Husband into the family yesterday, and we couldn't ask for more love than what you give and give and give.
We certainly look forward to spending many many more birthdays with you!
Happy birthday Nanna.

Janet Arnott. What a woman!

13.07.2013 - wow.
