Officially a (Hard) Working Girl

So after countless dead end jobs - ok 3 to be specific - and a few too many agency positions, I am finally working in, what I can only describe as, my dream job! (For now!)

Position: Learning Coach
School: Folkestone Academy
Responsibilities: To Co-tutor a form group. To Mentor half of that tutor group on a one-to-one basis throughout the year; whilst also appointing targets and acknowledging any behaviour/learning needs.
As a Learning Coach I am working alongside two different teachers with two different classes.

At the moment - as I'm just over a week in - I'm getting to grips with which children need what and how I can help with that. Having 30 odd kids in one class doesn't make my job so easy peasy when I don't know what the needs are of each individual.

But, so far, I am loving it. The kids are great. One or two are a slight pain in the A hole, but all in all, they're a pleasure to work with.

I'm also learning so much! How to deal with different situations, how serious I can get(!!), how responsible I can be.
It's great.

And I'm loving the weekends off!!

So it's going well. Yay!!
